Emergency Contraception

What is Emergency Contraception?

Emergency contraception (EC) is a high-dose levonorgestrel pill aimed to stop ovulation. EC is not an abortion pill and will not be effective if a person has already ovulated.

EC is not meant to be used as regular birth control. Efficacy of EC types vary and may be less effective for certain weights. Please read the EC packaging for details.
